Last week in ict i have been catching up on my work for all my units that i havent done. I am doing this because all the tasks have to be in before christmas and i will be doing the same this week. I finished some of my tasks last week but i have some more to do still. I think i have been doing very well with my work at the moment because i am getting my work done as soon as possible so it is all in before we finish. I am up to date in my programming lesson but think i just need to go over the tasks to make sure everything is in the assignment. I am up to date with my spreadsheet tasks. I need to finish a task in unit 2, a task in unit 3 and a task in unit 8. I also need to finish my web story board making because i have only done one idea and i need to do one more, that is for unit 21. In unit 1 i need to start task 5 and get it completed and i think i am up to date with my task 4 that i have in that unit. 

Last week in ict i did another discussion for communication barriers and this time the discussion went better because i walked more than i did the first time and i understood what different barriers are in Angela's story. I also catched up on a bit more of my work that i havent finished yet in different units. In my class discussion in the communication barriers lesson i talked alot more than i did and i think i did a better job with what we had to discuss. In unit 21 last week i carried on doing my storyboard's for my website that i am doing and i am now on my second design for my website design. I didnt do programming last week because my teacher wasnt in but i catched up on work that had to be done for his lesson so that i can understand programming a bit more when i am making my own program. I still get a bit confused and lost with my programming lesson but i think i am getting the hang of it a little bit more. In my other units i have just finished off some work that had to be done, like with my networking and spreadsheets, i finished my spreadsheet work last week in unit 6 but i am just waiting for it to be marked so i know if i have made any mistakes when i have been doing the work.

Last week in ict i finished some of the tasks for different units that had to be done so that i can get onto other tasks in the units. Some of the work is still abit hard at the moment but i think am getting the hang of it a bit more now. I also started to do more programming last week, we was seeing if we knew what all the variables are in programming when making a code and i think i am understanding it more but i still think its hard and confusing.

In unit 1 last week i found a story that we had to annotate and i did about Georges story which was about his work and how much he likes working where he does and that he likes instruments and the story is based on not judging people for what they do in their jobs and what they like. Today in class we had a discussion about Angelas story which was about an old man that is deaf and he wants to kiss the nurses and he likes doing routes because he does the same thing every day, in the discussion we was talking about the different communication barriers that were in the story and we was being videoed when doing so. I didnt contribute in the discussion really because i get nerves when talking infront of people but i knew what the story was about, i didnt quite get the different communication barriers that had to be in the story and when we had to talk about them i didnt really know what they was because i didnt know all the meanings for what they all was. I talked a bit about the communication barrier for the age cap between the nurse and the patient because they both do different things and know different things by the way they have been brought up.

I have done all my tasks that i have needed to do in all of my units apart from one because i dont know what to do and i dont understand what i have to look for in barriers of communication for unit 1. I have to do a few more tasks in my other units and i find a few units harder than others at the moment but i get on with all my work that needs to be done and see what happens when it gets mark. I get help alot in my lessons that i have been having and i understand more when i get shown what i am doing wrong in a task. In unit 1 i dont understand atall what communication barriers are, even when i look them up for all the 7 different meanings for each, i dont understand what some of them mean. I think some of the lessons and tasks are getting harder now but i am trying my best to do what i have to do.

For the last few weeks in ict i have been getting all my work up to date because its time to move on in the course and move onto different assignments and other tasks. I think i have done well this week because i have finished all the tasks that were needed to be handed in and now i can move on to other things in the tasks that i have for different units. Also i have been working hard in my maths lesson as well because there is an exam coming up and i want to do well in this lesson so i can pass it, i need to revise more though because i get distracted most of the time and do other things instead of revising and doing some of my work.

During this IT course i have done lots of different units with different teachers. I have learnt how to set up a blog and i have done a PowerPoint about it, this piece of work is what i did in unit 1 with Paul. I also did some work which was about what employers are looking for in a person, which had to be 800 words long and i did this task with Paul as well in unit 1. I have done a task on barriers of communication which i did with Martin in unit 1, this task had to be 500 words long to complete the task. I have learnt that this unit is about communication with other people and this unit is helping me with how to work in a team and learning different things that are to do with communication throughout my life. Things in this unit are going alright but i am struggling with the work a little bit because it is a bit hard when i dont really know what i am doing.

I have also been doing units in other lessons with other teachers, i have been doing programming and i have made a calculator by doing all different coding in this task and i do work on what programming is about and i talk about lots of things that are in the unit. I have learnt a lot with this unit because i now know what to do with programming and what it is used for.

In some other units in this IT course i have been learning about all sorts to do with computers, using computers and also what can be in computers that are useful. Examples of these units are learning how to make spreadsheets and doing formulas to make them work and then i have been doing screenshots of what i have done in this assignment that i have been given in the unit. I have also been learning about how to make a website and what the important things are when making a website because i have to do lots of typed up work before i come to making my own website about somes business that i know. I think the rest of these units are okay for me because i know what i am doing at times but i still get a bit lost with the work i need to be doing but i ask for help so that i can get the tasks over with so i can move on and get all my work in, like i have done so far with the assignments that i have done so far.
